MEET: PAIGE CARMICHAEL

As Studio SPRNG’s resident ‘it girl’, Paige takes fitness, wellness, and self care very seriously. After spending most of her life playing tennis and then transitioning to college, she had to redefine her routine & spend more time taking care of herself. Enter SPRNG. In 2020, she began jumping (and squatting) and hasn’t stopped since. Take some time to get to know the girl behind the perfect, platinum pony.

When did you begin your personal fitness journey/when did fitness become a key part of your life?

I played tennis very competitively for most of my life and I have always enjoyed yoga. When I started college, tennis became more limited and I had never been to a gym where I wasn’t told exactly what to do. My lack of self care and effort to find a workout routine that worked for me quickly caught up with me, and I suffered heavily both physically and mentally. At the end of my sophomore year of college, I tried SPRNG and knew I wanted to make a change in my lifestyle. Changes turned into habits which turned into an entirely new mindset and routine. SPRNG’s online platform gives the consistency and community I need to achieve my goals. Deepen that self love and don’t wait to invest in yourself!

When did you begin instructing?

SPRNG gave me back so much confidence and appreciation for my mind and body. I knew I wanted to be an instructor because of how much fun I have with the other girls and I also wanted to encourage others to take initiative on their wellness journey. I taught my first class in January of 2021!

How do you want the SPRNG community to feel after taking one of your classes?

To be proud of themselves for showing up and prioritizing their health. I hope it gives them motivation to take on the rest of their day or is a perfect way to end their day. SPRNG also gives me hot girl energy, which never hurts.

What’s your WHY?

A quote that has motivated me is “you are in charge of your body.” I think you either choose to resent that, or embrace it to create the life you envision. SPRNG gives me the resources to work on me for me! My lifestyle is a way better fit for me now than before, and it has given me so much more opportunity in other areas of my life.

What does studio SPRNG mean to you?

Everything! I’m not sure where I would be without it. It is also very important to me to support female-owned businesses so I am thrilled to be part of this team.

What SPRNG classes do you teach?

Advanced and Max mini! Everything is legs and glutes focused with me lol.

When you aren’t instructing, where can we find you?

Most definitely shopping. I also love a boozy brunch, long walks with a podcast about wellness/fashion, and reading. And perfecting my skin care routine.

Adele. I adore her.

The Everything Bagel from The BetterBrand is my go-to! Less carbs and way more protein than a regular bagel. You can make it however you want, but I love to add some avocado with lemon juice and red pepper flakes…so good!
